Each week Innodemia students receive multimedia readings, videos and audio to support their progresses. We make some of this multimedia material available to you as well. Our selection of topics can be deep at times.
Let’s focus on this week selection:
The cost of launching products such as speech recognition (translation and voice generation), internet content classification, drug discovery, medical imaging, time series predictive analysis and protein sequencing can be prohibitive.
The crucial issue is that algorithms are like children that need to learn before actually performing any task. These algorithms learn in ways that are slightly different than actual human.
Teaching algorithms requires an enormous amount of labeled data. This is not amenable even for the largest companies, let alone medium companies.
In these situations, the technology utilized is semi-supervised learning. In this week issue we present what semi-supervised learning is, current limitations and how Facebook just recently pushed the envelope in this field.
Recently I interviewed Amethix CEO and we discussed the current state of the art for applications in medicine, finance, healthcare and logistic. This week reading material also includes an unpublished video clip of about 4 minutes on this topic.

{!firstname_fix}, if you find that the level of technical understanding required is beyond your current level you can also explore our machine learning and artificial intelligence course for managers and innovators available at this link here:
I have recently interviewed The A.I. chief adviser of the United Nation and a serial A.I. Entrepreneur. Interviews have a great deal of insights about business and common good applications of AI. Thy will be released soon on Conversations In Artificial Intelligence, a completely free resource, you can subscribe at:
